I love roses. I especially love the big,
beautiful blooms of the Queen
Elizabeth Rose with it's delicate pink
hues. My second favorite color!
Several years ago I found a tiny
picture of a cluster of these roses in a
gardening magazine that I thought
would make a nice painting if I
cropped it down to show only two of
the roses in full and a hint of the
others. It was a challenging painting
but the experience I gained was worth
the effort.
