When I first received this
commissioned portrait I was
worried. I hadn't been painting
long and the photo I had to work
from, as you can see in the lower
left corner, was small. All I
could think about was how in the
world do you paint wrinkles???
The couple, both deceased, in
the painting are the parents of
the client's husband and the
commission was a kind of
memorial gift for him because
he was close to them.
