I found this great picture of the moon, full of
color and so luminous it was as if it was lit
from within. I wanted to paint a moon like that,
one that dominated the sky. So, I got my friend
to put on my cloak and pose with her arms out
as if she were making an offering to the moon.
It took me a bit to figure out the lighting of the
fabric as the moon's light would shine through
it, but I think the end result worked out well.
