There is a place I liked to go camping.
It holds special meaning for me. When
I began this abstract it was this place
I saw in my head. The flow of the
creek there, how it created the tiny
paths and pools along it's banks. The
small particles of mica reflecting in
the sun. Patches of moss and bits of
fallen leaves. The smell of damp earth.
I created the entire image on the floor
on my studio, crawling around on my
knees, working from all sides until it
was done.
