I do not consider myself to be religious.
Instead, I classify myself as a spiritual
person. So, a person might consider it
strange that I paint an image of the
Virgin Mary. I think it not so strange.
She is an iconic symbol, one of the
ultimate images which expresses the
touch of the Divine in a woman. She
can be interpreted as one who gives
over completely of their heart, their
faith, their existence to fulfilling their
purpose on Earth. The Divine
